Thinner Through the Holidays – Message 3

SUBJECT:  Continuing to Remain Thinner through the Holidays

Now we come to Part Three of my FREE special report, “ Thinner Through the Holidays”

Have you ever eaten the last piece of a crusty, dried out piece of pastry despite the fact it tasted like cardboard? Have you ever consumed a bag of foods of questionable edibility, cold, limp, or soggy? Why do we even eat food that does not even taste good? We overindulge due to signals and cues around us

encouraging us to eat. We not pause after every bite and consider whether we are full. As we eat, we mindlessly look for signals or cues foods that we’ve had enough. For example, if there is no food remaining on the table, that’s an indication that it is time to stop. If everyone else has left the table, turned off the lights, and we are sitting by ourselves in the dark, that’s another indication to stop eating. For many of us, as long as there are still a few milk-soaked morsels remaining in the bottom of the cereal bowl, there is still work to be done. It does not matter if we’re full, or those few remaining kernels are unidentifiable. We eat as if it is our personal mission to search out and consume. This is labeled Mindless Eating — We tend to think about food too recklessly and end up eating even when they are not hungry.

While eating a meal, do it blindfolded without any distractions from your TV, cell phone or computer. Without distractions, it’s easier for you to listen to your brain communicate to you that you are truly full. Otherwise, it’s much easier to mindlessly eat because you have nothing better to do. Eventually, you’ll start to eat more slowly and consume fewer calories
