When a client is hypnotized and regressed

.

When a client is hypnotized and regressed to the prenatal stage, many times the feelings and emotions expressed are those of the mother. The infant’s understanding from the womb is blissful or painful, depending on the feeling received from the mother.

These experiences influence the personality throughout a lifespan if there is no intervention. It is possible to review these experiences in an altered state and change the emotion patterns and attitudes that may have previously not been recognized. Going back into the prenatal period allows healing of painful imprints that have occurred.

Studies have discovered the following principles of regression into the prenatal state:

  • Within the womb there is not have a sense of self. Identity is not developed nor self-sufficiency.
  • There is a sense of awareness. The emotions of the mother are responded to as the total physical environment. Processes are not initiated through free will or decision making.
  • The mother’s emotions are absorbed and occasionally also the father’s.
  • A possession of limited abilities differentiates between feelings of another’s and self.
  • Exposure to parental emotions surrounds the prenatal individual. There no way to withdraw or separate from emotions that are unpleasant or threatening. No capabilities are developed to determine if an emotion is desirable or undesirable. The psychological ability to avert; incorporate, adjust, or discharge negative emotions is not established.
  • There is no impression of time or the existence of change or a realization that experiences change, end, or are replaced by another experience. The current moment, whether it is happy or sad, seems forever.
  • Within this confined facility, adaption is made to the prenatal environment. Emotions, attitudes, self-esteem, and self-expression are defined by these changes in personal experiences. Psychological development is intensely influenced by these experiences flowing forward into the delivery of the infant and propelling life in a particular direction.

The prenatal infant handles the intensity of emotions and conditions making psychological modifications to all conditions. This allows dealing with various energies within the womb. The adjustments made often characterize emotional patterns and evolution of personality after birth. These adjustments become an established way of responding to the dilemmas of life.

As an individual develops from infant into toddler, child into teenager and then into an adult, a more intricate personality evolves, that responds to life’s experiences and creates reactions. Emotions that were unable to be incorporated, develop into reference points for future behaviors. As long as these established patterns remain unquestioned and not given value, they will continue to influence an individual as an adult.
